Calling for Expressions of Interest

Strategic Risk Workshop:
The opportunity exists for non-defence personnel to participate in a series of workshops aimed at identifying strategic risks and potential national security issues. These workshops will inform the development of Defence's Annual Strategic Review.

 Thursday 26 April 2018

As part of the development process of Defence’s Annual Strategic Review (ASR), the Military Strategy Branch within Strategic Policy Division invites you to a workshop to discuss strategic risk and national security issues that may arise in the near term. The ASR advises Defence’s senior leadership of potential changes within Australia’s strategic environment that may arise in the near future, and which may require a change to the department’s strategic policy, force posture, readiness, or capability. Defence seeks the views of external representatives and stakeholders from within government, academia, think tanks, and industry, to provide input on forecasting significant strategic risk issues in their areas of expertise (for example, social, environmental, economic, technological, and geopolitical environments).

Expressions of Interest are due by COB Monday 16 April 2018. Selection will be based on achieving a diversity of representation across organisations and levels. You will be advised if you have been selected via email.
