The IFRS, in partnership with the Defence Joint Capability Coordination Division, is seeking nominations from interested people to be included in an future leaders workshop on the Future Operating Environment 2035 - Development Plan.
The workshop will be held on Thursday 13 August 2015 at the Australian Defence College. EOIs will close Friday 31 July and successful applicants will be notified by Friday 7 August. Please ensure the 13th is free if registering your interest.
In particular, and limited to 30 participants, we are looking for people under 26 (university students, those new to the work force, non-defence employees) with expertise/interest/research areas in at least one of the following menu items (to the extent you can contribute intelligently).

The intended outcomes of the workshop include
Primary:
Does the FOE document characterise the selected drivers and trends suitably?
Has the specific scenario and/or trend descriptions omitted/mischaracterised any aspects of the selected drivers/trends?
What hasn't been thought of to better enrich our characterisation of the scenarios & category descriptions?
Secondary/Optional:
What are your views on the FOE's determinations on (1) conflict sources; (2) Australia's national security interests and (3) likely implications for employment of ADF/Defence elements?
